A Message From Philco

Experience matters when information conflicts.

Richard Zielinski
General Manager

Indoor air quality products and recommendations change, making it difficult for building owners to know which options fit their facilities.

Richard Zielinski has worked with indoor air quality solutions for more than a decade. Philco reviews technical guidance, manufacturer documentation, product limitations, installation requirements, and maintenance needs before offering a solution.

We are HVAC technicians. The “V” stands for ventilation. IAQ depends on the movement, filtration, conditioning, and ventilation of air throughout a building—not simply one installed product.

Philco Air Control evaluating commercial HVAC equipment

Evaluate the System First

Indoor air quality begins with building operation.

Filtration, airflow, ventilation, controls, equipment cleanliness, moisture, occupancy, and maintenance history all affect indoor air quality.

A product cannot correct every mechanical or operational problem. The existing HVAC system should be evaluated as part of the complete strategy.

IAQ Services

Four areas Philco can evaluate.

The appropriate scope depends on the building, equipment, observed conditions, accessibility, and client objectives.

01

HVAC decontamination

Evaluate and clean appropriate internal components based on actual equipment condition and accessibility.

02

Air-treatment products

Review intended use, compatibility, placement, limitations, and maintenance requirements.

03

Air-duct inspections

Inspect accessible ducts, vents, registers, and connected components before recommending cleaning.

04

Fresh-air inspections

Evaluate outdoor-air dampers, economizers, controls, ventilation pathways, and system response.

Responsible Recommendations

Understand the building before selecting the solution.

Philco reviews technical guidance, manufacturer documentation, installation requirements, system compatibility, and long-term maintenance needs.

Each option should be evaluated for its intended purpose, documented limitations, and relationship with the existing HVAC equipment.

If we would not consider a solution appropriate for our own office or home, we would not recommend it to a client.

Important IAQ Note

No HVAC product or service can guarantee the prevention of illness or eliminate every airborne contaminant. Performance depends on correct selection, installation, operation, maintenance, building conditions, and the product’s documented limitations.
